Cuvée Juliette 2013 – La Clape tasted 100% blind !

La Cuvée Juliette 2013, dégustée 100% à l’aveugle par le Meilleur Sommelier du Monde, Andreas Larsson, obtient une note de 88/100 !

Quite deep colour youthful appearance dark ruby core. It has shed its blue-purple. Very spicy nose at first, with freshly ground pepper. Some clove, vanilla. There is a slight presence of oak, slight smokiness and attractive dark fruit. Good mouthfeel here, good weight but rounded texture. So quite dense and fruitiness here, with blackberry, dark cherry, cassis. Underlined by a hint of roasted oak. A certain meatiness, then on top of that fresh pepper and plum. Juicy fruit, really ripe fruit, but still with well-preserved freshness. The combination of tannin and acidity gives a good mouth-watering sensation on the finish. I think it starts to open up quite nice now, the tannins are getting rounded and smoother. It should continue to develop really well for the coming years. It has a good quite convincing persistence as well. It keeps lingering. You feel a certain ripeness and warmth on the finish. Overall a very nice and attractive wine.
